Hi folks,
I've got a few different projects going on right now, and I wanted to share what I'm working on! None of these are done yet, so details are subject to change, of course.
First off is my biggest project, Tumbleweeds and Trailblazers. This is my first novel, and boy, has it been a doozy of a project.

"Courier and part-time hired gun Cassandra “Cassie” Starling thrives in the morally grey business and open road of the American West until a bandit attack nearly kills her, forcing Cassie to rebuild her life from ground zero while she searches for answers - and revenge. Told in a tale of adventure, hardship, faith, and discovery by Cassie herself, her travels around the slowly growing less wild West bring her face-to-face with everyone from rich bankers and fashionable socialites to ruthless outlaws, and through a series of chance encounters, cause her to question why the lifestyle she follows – and her desire for vengeance – is so different than what her Catholic childhood once taught her."
We're maybe a quarter of the way through this project? That's only the first draft, anyway. Stand by for future updates and a sneak peek of Cassie's adventures later!
Next up is a bit of a change of pace - I'm working on three short stories at the moment, bouncing around from one to the other when I need a break from Tumbleweeds. Admittedly, I haven't made a ton of progress on them, but they're fun to brainstorm.
First up, we have We Came in Peace: "The year is 2218, and a ship bearing the colors of the United Nations has just arrived in orbit of an unknown planet - only to find that they're not alone. First contact may be more complicated than expected..."
Next up is a brief dip into romance with Once Upon a Time in the Lowcountry: "It's 1840, and the specter of war has yet to cast its shadow over the ballroom floor at the McKinley family estate in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Richard Benedict, the studious heir to his family's declining plantation, finds himself with an opportunity to approach the belle of the ball, beautiful merchant's daughter Susanna Davenport - but both of them only have one dance to decide on their feelings."
Finally, a bit of an action-adventure story with a twist, The Weapon: "For as long as she can remember, Alexandra Fletcher has been one thing and one thing only: a human weapon, trained and genetically predisposed from birth to be an agent of the government. But when she's tasked with tracking down a rogue member of her own organization, she finds out that this assignment is a lot more than she's expecting, or prepared for."
And there you have it! I hope to have some good material to throw out as a preview soon. In the meanwhile, stay tuned for updates. Comment or shoot me a message if you like these ideas!
